Every effort is made to ensure that the seam is placed in the best location for structural integrity and to make the tops aesthetically pleasing. At times natural characteristics of granite make it impossible to guarantee a match in color or veining when seaming two pieces together. Color coordinated epoxy will be used to fill the seam and blend in with countertops, however it is not the actual stone, so there is always a possibility the seam may not match the stone exactly.

We are leaning toward getting a container of stone direct from a quarry in Italy. The landed price for 70+ slabs will be less than $20 slab for good quality Granite & Quartz. Our challenge so far has been finding fabricators in our area to work with us. Most work for the big countertop shops and cannot moonlight for us. As @Account Closed stated prefab slabs in Vegas runs about $100 and here in the Bay Area they run about $39 a slab. I flip in all three markets and the granite prices are high in Florida, well at lease in JAX.
